MDaemon to Exchange 2013 Migration – Ultimate Solution

In corporate culture, everyone wants to be the best and don’t want to compromise on anything, whether it’s the office environment or the staff they are hiring. Even the email application they are using must be the updated one, complying with every aspect of email handling standards. And until they get that perfect email program, which will comply with their emailing standards, they keep on shuffling between them. MDaemon and MS Outlook are the two server applications, which provides users with email facilities along with some added features.

For those who don’t know about MDaemon and MS Exchange, let’s have some brief information about both the applications :

MDaemon is a Windows based server application which comes in multiple languages. A development of Alt-N Technologies, it supports POP, SMTP, LDAP protocols for sending and receiving email messages. Its features include WorldClient, groupware data sharing (emails, Address Book, Calendars, Notes etc.), spam-filtering etc.

MDaemon saves all the users accounts in Users directory at the store location :
                              C:\MDaemon\Users

Each user folder has its own set of data items, each saved as .IAMP folder – Contacts.IMAP, Calendars.IMAP, Notes.IMAP, Tasks.IMAP and more.

Each .IMAP folder contains further data in .mrk and .msg format. for example, Contacts.IMAP folder will have AddrBook.mrk, HIWATER.MRK, Imap.mrk, and a list of .msg files (showing the number of contacts of that particular user).

MS Exchange, also a Windows based server, is developed by Microsoft providing users with calendaring and email messaging facilities. It uses MAPI as its exclusive email exchanging protocol along with added support for POP3, IMAP, SMTP, EAS. Its features include : spam filters, unified messaging, shadow redundancy, public folders, Ultra-fast search Office 365 hybrid etc.

How to migrate MDaemon Data to MS Exchange 2013

When you search online, you will find a number of articles and blogs, providing tutorials about MDaemon to Exchange 2013 Migration, but none can be trusted as either they provide incomplete information, leaving the process midway or may lead to complete loss of data. So, for migrating MDaemon database to Exchange, using an expert solution is always a better idea. MDaemon to PST Converter is one such utility, which provides complete migration of MDaemon emails to MS Exchange along with all the email properties – email header (to, cc, bcc, subject, sent/received date and time etc.), formatting (font size, background, links, images etc.), attachments, folder structure etc.

One of the highlighted features of the software is its capability to convert MDaemon data in two modes: Single mailbox migration and multiple mailbox migration. Both options offer conversion of multiple MDaemon email messages, but with a slight difference.
  • Single Mailbox migration option will convert only 1 MDaemon mailbox, having multiple email files and will save all the data in a single PST file.
  • Multiple migration option, on the other hand will convert multiple MDaemon mailboxes, (each having multiple email files), generating separate PST file for each MDaemon mailbox.

Many other advantages offered by this efficient utility are :
  • Conversion of MDaemon mailboxes to both 32 and 64 bit MS Outlook 2016, 2013, 2010 2007, 2003 editions
  • Supports to easily migrate MDaemon to Exchange 2010, 2013, 2016 etc.
  • Also supports MDaemon to Office 365 migration
  • Supports to convert MDaemon calendars too, along with email messages

MDaemon Migrator is the perfect choice for large scale MDaemon to Exchange 2013, 2016, 2010 migration solutions. Similarly, MDaemon to Outlook 365 migration can also be achieved using the same MDaemon migration utility.
